BRAND STORY
01The career
For more than twenty years, Richard Meseko has built the routes that carry money from the diaspora home. He held operational and leadership roles at Ecobank in Côte d’Ivoire and Congo Brazzaville, led Travelex Money Transfer’s Africa region from Ghana, and served WorldRemit as Country Director for Canada, North America, Africa, and Latin America and the Caribbean. He has led global sales for Rapidtransfer International, Ecobank’s service for the African diaspora in Europe.
02The heritage
Born in Nigeria, he is a descendant of the royal household of Alasorin. His conviction is simple: financial inclusion comes first, so that Africans in the diaspora can support their families, their people and their culture. Cultural inclusion follows.
03The music
He tells Africa’s history and culture through music, with a troupe of musicians, percussion and unique instrumentation. One instrument stands out: the pan flute, which he plays himself.
